Oh, the fucking irony... I get to visit my brother once every six months or so, and I want to take him to the amusement park. He's fifteen, he likes go-cart racing; good idea, right? Only my one-step-away-from-being-dead-beat dad and his new wife want to come along, and I've just spent the last three nights in way-too-close quarters with them and their bullshit. So we get to the amusement park the secretary at my brother's school told me about, the father-who-never-learned-to-sign-even-though-his-son-was-born-deaf and his equally-lacking-in-sign-language-proficiency wife already dragging my brother away from me, and I look up to see the ferris wheel sticking out over the chain-link fence around the park, in all it's rainbow-electric splendor. "Fun Spot" Oh, yeah. This should be fun.
